At ONE®, we’ve always believed that sexual health shouldn’t be a clinical conversation hidden behind closed doors – it should be as vibrant and expressive as the culture we live in. That’s why we created ONE® on Stage, a program designed to bridge the gap between the arts and advocacy. By partnering with musicians, creators, and performers, we’re able to bring essential sexual health resources directly to the places where people are gathering, dancing, and connecting.

This mission comes to life through our latest partnership with Father Padre, an up-and-coming R&B and electronic artist collective out of Kansas City. Led by the creative force of Gerron Diamond (also known as Fah-Gee Bear) and his counterpart Khatt Daddi, Father Padre is doing more than just dropping tracks – they are weaving sexual health into the fabric of their community.

Sexual Wrap Rhythms

The heartbeat of this collaboration is Father Padre’s debut release: Sexual Wrap Rhythms. The project is a long-term campaign featuring a grassroots condom distribution effort with social media promotion.

To help the collective amplify their message, ONE® provided Father Padre with 4,000 customized Super Sensitive™ condoms to include in safer sex kits. These kits are hitting the streets at small businesses and community health centers across the Midwest in an effort to promote sexual health in addition to the music release. The wrappers feature artwork designed by Father Padre: a gold vintage boombox where the speakers have been reimagined as condoms – a visual that perfectly encapsulates the intersection of music and protection.

The choice of Super Sensitive™ condoms was intentional as well. When you’re using a product with 50% more lubricant than standard condoms, you’re looking for a special feeling that allows for total connection. It’s the same way a perfectly mixed track allows you to feel every vibration of the bass: no barriers, just the best possible experience.

Distribution with a Purpose

What makes the Father Padre partnership so impactful is their "boots on the ground" approach to distribution. This isn't just leaving a bowl of condoms in a dark corner of a club (even though there’s nothing wrong with that), it’s actively integrating their message into the community.

Here are some of the locations where you can find Father Padre’s safer sex kits:

  • Wellness AIDS Services (Flint, MI): As they launch their new mobile outreach unit, Wellness AIDS Services is integrating Sexual Wrap Rhythms into their programming by sharing the kits with people who use their services. The music serves as a conversation starter for harm reduction and HIV prevention. From Flint Pride to community workshops, the collective is ensuring that sexual health is a central part of the conversation.

  • Diamond Cuts Barbershop (Kansas City, MO) and Storm Grooming Studio (Raytown, MO): These shops serve as a hub for consistent, street-level access to the people in KC’s urban core. In the barbershop, where real talk happens every day, Father Padre is making sure protection is part of the dialogue.

  • Quantum Consulting / Project Thrive (St. Louis, MO): Mental health and wellness service company distributing the condoms through community programming.

  • Positively U (Tampa, FL): This initiative expanded outside the Midwest recently to include this Florida-based mobile health outreach and wellness center, ensuring that those who need resources most have access to high-quality protection.

In Conversation with Gerron Diamond (Fah-Gee Bear)

We sat down with Gerron to talk about the origins of Father Padre, the influence of the 90s, and why his mom is his biggest inspiration for sexual health advocacy.

The right song at the right moment can lead to passion. It gets the wheels turning. If the music is there, the protection should be there too. - Gerron Diamond

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and the collective?

“My name is Gee, I now go by Fah-Gee Bear. I’m a part of a production collective called Father Padre with my counterpart, Khatt Daddi.”

How did you start getting into music and creating your own sound?

“I started getting into music back in 2000. I was 15 when I asked my mom to purchase a game called Music MTV Generator. It was a sequencer program. I actually started making beats on the PlayStation!”

Which artists or musicians inspire your work the most?

“Various artists inspire me, but 90s R&B music is the main source. Especially the early 90s. That era gave birth to ‘Sexual Wrap Rhythms.’”

What made you want to get involved with ONE® Condoms and sexual health advocacy?

“Advocacy started early for me. My mom worked as a child support case manager. She gave us condoms very early due to her job. She worked on the fathering court program and was even featured in The Pitch KC in an article called "Bringing 'Deadbeat’ Dads Back to Life." Her message was: "I don't want y’all to be a client of the child support system." She experienced the system from three angles: enforcer, facilitator, and failed client. That stuck with me and my brother.

“I researched ONE® and read about the company and the artists you’ve worked with. I also got some insight from a client of ONE®, Wellness AIDS in Flint, MI. I wanted the album to live in this space because it fits.”

What inspired the artwork or theme for ‘Sexual Wrap Rhythms?’

“Originally, the title was ‘Sex Rap Rhythms.’ Khatt Daddi designed the boombox, and when I saw it, I said, "Man, that’s dope! Change the speakers to condoms." Then Khatt Daddi suggested changing "Rap" to "Wrap." It just fit the whole initiative perfectly!”

Has your condom distribution project started any funny or meaningful conversations?

“I’m ‘the guy with the condoms’ now! I’ve heard, ‘Damn, what do you do with all them condoms?!’ It opens the door to talk about what we’re doing with the music and the message.”

Why do you think sexual health awareness matters specifically in music scenes?

“Music is the soundtrack to sex. The right song at the right moment can lead to passion. It gets the wheels turning. If the music is there, the protection should be there, too.”

What sexual health topics do you wish were talked about more openly?

“Protection, plain and simple. It’s not a widespread conversation like it used to be. The access to hardcore porn today often promotes no protection, and we need to counter that.”

If your music had to be described as a condom flavor or style, what would it be?

“90s Cherry Dip!”

Why the "Wrap" Matters

Sexual health is a community effort. By placing condoms in a barbershop or featuring them in a music video, we are normalizing the act of being prepared.

The partnership with Father Padre is a reminder that sexual health is a community effort. By placing ONE® Condoms in a barbershop or featuring them in a music video, we are normalizing the act of being prepared.

We often talk about the "rhythm" of a relationship, and just like in music, timing and comfort are everything. Our condoms are specifically engineered with Sensatex® technology to provide a more natural feel, ensuring that your focus stays on the rhythm of the moment.
