ONE® Condoms Launches "Be the Poe of Prophylactics" Poetry Contest

Entrants have a chance to win cash prizes & a year’s supply of condoms with their poetic masterpiece 

BOSTON (April 24, 2025) — In celebration of National Poetry Month, ONE® Condoms is inviting wordsmiths everywhere to become the next “Poe of Prophylactics” by unleashing their creativity through the ONE® Poetry Contest.

Budding poets, literary pros and stanza lovers everywhere can submit original verses for a chance to win cash prizes, a year’s supply of condoms featuring their poem, and a condom donation to their chosen organization, nonprofit, or school. Winning poems will be printed on ONE®’s signature round wrappers, joining the updated wrapper collection for the Vanish® Hyperthin® condom style.

“It’s time to let your Longfellow loose, shake it like Shakespeare, and get Wilde. ONE® has always inspired people to harness their creative genius and wit to get people talking about condoms – and now we’re excited to combine rubbers with rhymes,” said Davin Wedel, founder and president of ONE® Condoms. “I’m excited to see who wins the coveted title of the Poe of Prophylactics.”

Entering the contest is easy: compose your poem and submit it by Thursday, July 31, 2025. A panel of judges will review all submissions, and a round of public voting will help determine the winners. In total, ten prizes will be awarded: First Place ($1,000 USD), Second Place ($500 USD), and eight Honorable Mentions ($300 USD).
