Happy Measure a Penis Day!
February 1st, 2026 marks the seventh annual Measure A Penis Day. It’s time to measure a penis on your body or in your life, and kiss those condom fit problems goodbye. We're sharing some recent updates, and answering some Q&A when it comes to proper condom fit.

This year for Measure Day, we launched the MyONE® Demonstration Kit as a way for educators and advocates to host their own condom fit lesson. The kit includes demonstrators in 3 sizes, condoms to match, a lesson plan to show why proper condom fit matters, and FitKit® measuring tools to hand out. Check it out if you want to help us educate the masses about proper condom fit.
Fun update: The New York Times Wirecutter rated MyONE® the best custom fit condom in 2025!

In other news, CVS continues to be the first and only retail store to carry MyONE® in store. Because we couldn’t take over the entire store with 52 custom fit condom sizes, CVS carries snug condom options. While many stores carry standard and extra large condoms, there are no snug options in stores. That's why CVS carries our MyONE® Quick Sampler in the Snug, and our MyONE Snug 10-count (FitCode 49F).

Easy ways to celebrate Measure A Penis Day:
-
Take out a FitKit® and get to measuring! Download the tool here. Penis girth is measured in Girth Numbers, and penis length is measured in Length Letters. Combine those to get your FitCode, such as 45C or 60K. Then order a free sample kit!
-
Share our Find Your Fit quiz with a friend. Friends don’t let friends use ill-fitting condoms.
-
Not sure what size penis you’re going to be playing with? Grab a few different condom sizes for your night stand with the MyONE® Quick Samplers. Each sample kit has 3 different sizes within the Snug, Classic or Wide range – plus a FitKit® measuring tool.
-
Test your condom fit and penis size knowledge with our condom quiz. Condom School 101 is in session.

As a quick refresher, below are some of your top condom fit questions answered. Happy Measure a Penis Day!
Why did ONE® Condoms invent Measure A Penis Day?
In 2017 we launched our MyONE® Custom Fit® line with 52 condom sizes, including condom sizes larger and smaller than any other brand in the world. Imagine there was one size shoe, and everyone in your life had to use that comfortably. Some people would slip right out, while others would struggle with squeezing and painful steps. Since penises come in different sizes – just like feet – it was time to bring more condom sizes to the market.

We quickly realized many people had trouble talking to their partners about condom fit, and educators were looking for ways to spark conversations about condoms in a new way. So we created Measure a Penis Day in 2020 - a new holiday that is celebrated on February 1st to kick off National Condom Month. It’s a day to get people talking about the importance of proper condom fit, and making measuring fun.
How can I bring up measuring with a partner?
Here’s some tips how to bring up the conversation about condom fit with your partner, inspired by feedback from our customers:
-
Make it part of foreplay. As one customer said, “I love any reason for my partner to touch my penis.”
-
Make it part of roleplay. Time to play doctor, nurse, or construction worker. Have fun with the measuring process!
-
Explain the stats. Standard condoms are too long for 91% of people, too tight for 50% of people and too snug for 30% of people. Just like shoes come in different sizes, condoms now do too. So if your partner doesn’t like condoms because they don’t fit right, it's time to measure & get a MyONE® sample kit.
-
Talk about pleasure. When condoms fit right and work as intended, people are more likely to use them. A condom shouldn’t feel like a cock ring or be so loose that it slips off. Wearing a properly fitting condom feels better because there’s less squeezing, bunching, and slipping. Like wearing a custom fit suit - a proper condom fit helps people feel more comfortable and confident. As a customer said, "finally the condom can get out of the way and I can focus on my partner rather than worry what the condom is doing."
Do you have some statistics on how proper condom fit increases comfort and pleasure?
Out of the 1,010 people surveyed in our Measure Day 2024 survey, 705 people had measured and knew their MyONE® FitCode. Those 705 that had measured and tried MyONE® condoms:
- 89% say that custom fit condoms increase pleasure.
- 93% say that custom fit condoms increase comfort.
- 81% say that custom fit condoms increase confidence.
- 80% say condoms increase the likelihood that they will use condoms.
- 74% say they can’t use regular condoms because they don’t fit right.

Are there resources for educators around condom fit?
We've created resources like the MyONE® Demonstration Kit, a A Measure A Penis Day Guide for Educators, and a size chart of ONE® vs MyONE® condom sizes. We love working with educators to increase condom use by talking about proper condom fit.

Why does condom slippage happen?
Standard condoms are over 7 inches long, too long for 91% of people. Standard condoms are also too loose in circumference (aka girth) for 30% of people. Both these factors can lead to the condom slipping off during use, increasing the risk for unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). That’s why MyONE® has sizes snugger than standard condoms. In fact, our shortest and snuggest option (FitCode 45C) is our #1 seller.
Why does my condom feel like a cock ring? Why do condoms feel so small and tight?
Standard condoms are too tight for 50% of people. Yes, condoms do stretch – but only up to a certain point. I’m sure you’ve seen the exercise where someone puts a condom over their foot or arm to “prove” that condoms fit everyone. But your foot has a solid bone in it and can withstand a lot of pressure. A penis, on the other hand, works hard to keep an erection. When there is too much constriction because the condom is too tight, it cuts off circulation and can cause pain and erection loss. If this has been your experience, the good news is MyONE® has multiple condom girth options that are wider than a standard condom. Time to find your fit.

What is a proper condom fit?
A condom should be long enough to cover the entire shaft of the penis from base to tip – to help ensure you get full coverage against STIs. The condom should not be so long that the excess latex hangs at the tip or bunches at the base. The more extra latex that bunches at the base, the tighter the condom will often feel.
When it comes to girth, the condom should be snug enough so that it stays in place. But it should not be so tight that it causes discomfort, squeezing, or erection loss.
Our MyONE® Custom Fit® recommendations will recommend a condom length slightly longer than your penis length to ensure it is long enough. They will also recommend a condom circumference slightly tighter than your penis circumference to ensure that the condom will stay in place. But this is also why we offer the free sample kits (just pay shipping) so you can test some sizes before you buy. Some people may prefer their condoms a little snugger or loose, for example. So testing is key! And if the initial samples are not a great fit, contact us. We’ll recommend and send another sample kit of a different size free of charge.
How do the MyONE FitCodes work?
MyONE has ten different Length Letters, ranging from C (4.7" in condom length) to M (9.3" in condom length). Fun fact: We didn't use the letters A and B because one day we hope to introduce two shorter length options.
We have nine different Girth Numbers, ranging from Super Snug 45 (45mm nominal width) to 64 Super Wide (64mm nominal width).
Combine your Girth Number and your Length Letter to get your MyONE® FitCode - such as 45C or 64K.

If the penis has a foreskin, how do you measure?
Measure your penis in the state it will be in while using the condom. If you retract your foreskin while using a condom, make sure you measure with it retracted. Similarly, if you have a longer foreskin and you do not retract it, make sure to include it in your measurements. Check out more of our Foreskin & Condoms resources.
