get ready to sizzle! ‘ready or hot’ fashion show returns

At ONE®, we’re proud to continue our partnership with Planned Parenthood North Central States, a collaboration that has been going strong since 2019 through Ready or Hot condom fashion shows, where fashion meets passion and awareness takes center stage. Over the years, we’ve partnered on three amazing events, bringing vibrant creativity and important messages to communities across the region. From empowering individuals to rethink safe sex practices to sparking conversations with bold and artistic designs, we’re thrilled to keep the momentum going (no pun intended)!

We’re always curious to hear how these incredible events turn out and have the inside scoop on how their latest Ready or Hot event. Here’s how it went down:

Tell us about Ready or Hot 2025! What was this year's mission? How was the atmosphere in the room?

Ready or Hot is a fundraiser event for Planned Parenthood North Central States (PPNCS). It’s a night of bold self-expression and celebration of PPNCS’ essential work-- supporting access to sexual and reproductive health care, medically accurate sex education, innovative research, and fierce advocacy for reproductive rights. PPNCS’ mission is to advance and protect sexual and reproductive health care for all, and this event supports that.

This annual event isn’t your average fashion show—it’s a movement. It's fashion with a message. Ready or Hot models are people of all shapes, sizes, genders, ages, and races who are doing cool things in the Twin Cities who embody the vibrant beauty and unstoppable spirit of our community and dedication to reproductive freedom.

For this condom-inspired avant-garde runway, there were four Condom Couture pieces designed by Veronica Wakefield-Young of VWY Design, which were made with ONE® Condoms.

Can you share the goal of the event! 

Goal: $75,000

Amount raised: $122,201 (!!!)

Were there any donations, goody bags or freebies given out?

The only free gifts we gave out were the ONE® Condoms. We spread them out on tables throughout the event for guests to take. People loved it!

Tell us what keeps you inspired to continue this work! 

What keeps us inspired to continue this work is the people who count on us every day and the barriers to health care and education they face every day. In the last year, PPNCS served more than 87,600 patients, with almost 11,000 of them seeking abortions and nearly 5,800 receiving gender affirming hormone therapy. That’s an incredible amount of people that we are able to support. And yet, we know that reproductive freedoms are being taken away across the country, and barriers to care still exist, especially for those who are low-income, live in rural areas, those in the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, and more. Planned Parenthood is working to break down these barriers and increase access. We believe that everybody should have bodily autonomy—no matter what—and that is what keeps us pushing every day.
