FLEXIVERSARY - Celebrating One Year Of ONE Flex!

ONE® Condoms launched in 2004, and for 20 years we’ve been reinventing the condom so they feel and fit amazing. Our team works hard with our condom scientists to bring you the latest in Next Generation Condoms®.

Text that says ONE year of ONE Flex with condom packaging in the middle

One year ago on October 17th, we launched ONE® Flex® on the market – the first condom in the world enhanced with the wonder material graphene. The result is a condom that’s incredibly thin and strong – and has 85% better heat transfer than standard latex condoms.

What are the benefits and science behind graphene condoms?

The same year we were launching ONE® Condoms to the market in 2004, graphene was discovered in 2004 by physicists at the University of Manchester. Graphene quickly captured international attention as the thinnest, strongest, and most conductive material on the planet. NASA calls graphene a “wonder material.”

Graphene is 200 times stronger than steel and 1 million times thinner than human hair. It is also the most conductive solid ever discovered.

When bonded together through the manufacturing process, graphene molecules fill the space between latex molecules, creating a new material that advances thinness, flexibility, and thermal conductivity. The result is a condom that enhances pleasure and sensation.

ONE Flex Condoms quote by Davin Wedel about how graphene condoms is a new material that addresses customers wants for condoms that are thin, strong and feel more.

Fun fact: On its own, latex (because it comes from rubber) is an insulator, which traps in body heat. This keeps you from feeling your partner’s natural body heat. Graphene, on the other hand, is the most conductive material on the planet. Because ONE® Flex® molecularly combines latex with graphene, the condom increases body heat transfer by 85% compared to standard latex condoms. This results in more sensation and a natural, skin-on-skin feeling.

ONE Flex has 85% better body heat transfer.

One of the top complaints about ultra-thin condoms is a tight and restrictive feeling. This is because as latex condoms get thinner, there’s less latex material to stretch. If someone has a penis that’s wide in circumference, then ultra-thin condoms can feel very tight. On the other hand, when combined with graphene, latex can stretch farther without feeling tighter. Due to the capabilities of graphene, our Flex condoms are ultra-thin without losing flexibility, sensation, or comfort.

“Imagine the impact of a condom that could make safer sex as pleasurable as unprotected sex,” said our CEO Davin Wedel. “In order to have a dramatic impact on public health, we continue to reinvent the condom to get as close to a skin-on-skin feel as possible.”

What have we been up to in the last year?

We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive reviews and growing popularity of ONE® Flex®! Check out some highlights below.

Due to its growing success through our website, Amazon, and other online channels, ONE® Flex® gained distribution in select Walmart stores across the country for Fall 2024! And Flex continues to be available at select Walgreens stores as well. Send us a photo of your Walmart or Walgreens Flex receipt, and we’ll send you a free condom carrying case ;) Fun fact: In stores, you’ll now see ONE Flex condoms in a box like in the photo below. We're still all about the round tubes. For our store partners, the box is a bit easier because you always know which way is the front of the pack.

To share Flex with the world, we've been taking Flex essentially everywhere we go. We’ve featured the condom at conferences like AASECT, Sex Down South, STI Engage Conference, U.S. Conference on HIV/AIDS, Sexual Health Alliance Conference, EroFame Conference in Germany, and soon at the Sex Week at Harvard and the National Sex Ed Conference. Flex has made appearances on the Homoculture tour and Pride Festivals, Folsom Street Fair, Lollapalooza, Museum of Sex in NYC, and so many more events and partnerships.

Our new College Ambassador program students are distributing Flex on campuses across the country, and our ONE® on Stage program bands have been handing out condom cases with their band logo on the outside – and ONE Flex samples on the inside. We’ve sent thousands of ONE Flex matchbooks to schools, organizations and brand partners to help distribute in their community.

ONE Flex is receiving love from the media, too, and has been featured in outlets like VOGUE and Men's Health Magazines, WIRED, Homoculture, The Daily Princetonian, He Said Dallas, and more.

Because of the success of the ONE Flex launch in the U.S., we're ready to launch the product internationally. We recently launched it in Canada on our website and Amazon Canada, and we’ll soon be launching it in the UK, Ukraine, Germany, and countries across Europe. Where do you want to see ONE Flex land next? Let us know!

Cheers to ONE year of ONE Flex! We're looking forward to bringing this graphene condom to many more countries and communities. We're passionate about making safer sex feel pleasurable and using the latest technologies to get there. ONWARD!

Finally, in case you need a lil' more convincing to try ONE Flex, check out some reviews from happy customers:

“This is the first thin condom I've used that is ACTUALLY close to feeling like you're not using one. The sensation is so close to bare skin it's incredible. Whatever they did with the "heat transfer", it's working.”

"I’m thrilled to share my glowing review of these condoms! It’s not every day you come across a product that truly delivers on its promises of both comfort and subtlety. These condoms are so remarkably thin, it’s easy to forget you’re wearing them at all, yet they offer the protection and reliability you need. The comfort factor is through the roof—no pinching, no compromise, just a perfect fit that moves with you. It’s the kind of product that enhances the experience without making its presence known, which is exactly what you want when using it. For anyone seeking a balance of thinness and comfort without compromising on quality, these condoms are a game-changer. They’ve certainly earned a resounding endorsement from both of us!"

“These are clearly high quality condoms and what I would expect from One. They're very thin, to the point that you can even feel the difference through the wrapper (that part was really impressive to me). I also liked the color--it's a translucent black so it's not silly or distracting but is more attractive than "normal" condoms. Now, in terms of use... I loved these condoms. I (vagina-haver) definitely agreed with the package claim that it has something like 85% higher heat transfer than regular condoms. It was super smooth and the lube was great--the perfect amount, felt natural, and didn't leave any weird-feeling residue afterward. I could feel the difference between using these and condomless sex, but just barely and I probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't thought about it. According to my partner (penis-haver), sensation was about 50% more than regular condoms and he also thought the heat transfer was fantastic. It fit well, no slipping, and all in all was just a great condom. Would definitely make this my go-to!”
