Formed by guitarist/vocalist Gianni Carpanzano, bassist Dave Eisermann, and drummer Marc Marenco, the group has become known for its eruptive, dream-like sound, drawing comparisons to bands such as Hum and Alice in Chains.

With a mission to make listeners cry, soft spot is set to release its aptly named debut album "This Will Make You Cry" this June. Fans were treated to the first taste of the project in January with the album’s first single “Loose,” which was released alongside a music video filmed in the band’s hometown. The album will also feature the singles “Screw It” and “Down.”

Over the last few years, Soft Spot has captivated fans throughout its home state of Connecticut and the Northeast, taking over stages such as Stamford’s Palace Theatre and Brooklyn’s Gold Sounds. In 2024, the trio embarked on its first official tour, making its way around the East Coast with fellow Connecticut grunge band Whitewood Drive.
