Deadbird was formed in the Spring of 2002 by brothers Chuck and Phillip Schaaf and Alan Short, and has remained perpetually active at various intensities since inception. Deadbird chooses to eschew genre and instead pursue ROCKANDROLL songcraft through sonic parthenogenesis. Deadbird is Phillip Schaaf (drums), Chuck Schaaf (guitar, vocals), Alan Short (guitar, vocals), and Jeff Morgan (bass, vocals), and regularly collaborates in sonic reinforcement with Chris Terry (synth, samples, sounds, vocals) and Reid Raley (second bass, third guitar, vocals).
